Well, the idea proved captivating and has even expanded… The caravan has become a village and so we have become the owners of two marvellous wooden chalets. After a brief theoretical course on how to use the GPS, participants were ‘let loose’ to try their skills. The game involved following a precise and varied road book to find a whole series of way points. Information to help teams on their way and a question-and-answer game were hidden on these way points. The cellars of Stavelot Abbey, converted for the occasion into a “winter sports station”, resounded to the strains of mountain music. The ingredients of this successful cocktail included Yeti’s “Short Stroll” (treasure hunt in the small town of Stavelot), as much hot wine as you like, a forest setting (fir trees), subdued lighting, Swiss chalets (bar and disco bar), Valais raclette, Tyrolean waiters and a great dance.
